# Setting up an S3 bucket

To create a bucket, navigate to ["S3" in the AWS console](https://s3.console.aws.amazon.com/s3).

Click "**Create Bucket**", and then choose a bucket name and region:

All the other settings are entirely optional for Paperplane, so you can skip through them all unless you need to apply special settings.
